Is SuperKite free to use?
Yes. Every guide, destination page, and tool is free. We're funded by advertising, not subscriptions.
Do you accept paid placements?
Schools and resorts can pay for enhanced listings on destination pages, but our editorial recommendations are independent. Paid items are clearly labelled.
How often is the wind data updated?
The Windy embed is real-time. Season summaries in destination pages are reviewed every spring.
Can I submit a destination?
Yes - if you operate at a kite spot we don't cover and want to submit it for editorial review, use the contact form. We add 3-5 new destinations per year.
Why do you focus on partner activities?
Most kite trips are taken with a non-kiting partner. We think the trip success depends on what they do when you're on the water.
Do you teach kitesurfing?
No. We're a publication, not a school. We link to and recommend schools at every destination we cover.
Is wing foiling really easier than kitesurfing?
For the first 10 hours, yes. After that, both sports have similar progression timelines but completely different feel.
What's the best season to learn?
Whatever season has consistent 15-22 knot wind at your chosen destination. Avoid the windiest months - they make learning harder, not easier.
