Paje

Paje on Zanzibar's east coast is a long stretch of brilliant white sand fronting a turquoise reef lagoon. At low tide the water is knee-deep flat for hundreds of metres - paradise conditions for learning and freestyle. Two predictable monsoon trade winds give two seasons a year: the cooler southern Kusi from June to September and the warmer northern Kaskazi from December to February. Tides matter here more than most spots - check the chart and ride the right window.
