Spain

Tarifa

Tarifa sits on the southern tip of Spain where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean through the Strait of Gibraltar. Two distinct wind systems take turns - the easterly Levante, dry and powerful, can blow for days at 25-35 knots, and the westerly Poniente brings cleaner waves and softer wind. The result is one of the most reliable kitesurfing destinations on earth, with around 300 windy days a year and a town built entirely around the sport.
